If you love tea AND summer, you're in for a sweet treat!
We took a few of our favourite loose leaf teas and gave them a sunny makeover. Sip on sweet Summer Preserves, take Lovers Lane tea to the next level, or try a fun twist on Raspberry Cordial!
Below are three refreshing ways to enjoy the delicious taste of tea in the summertime...
1. Summer Preserves Iced Tea Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Summer Preserves loose leaf tea
- 4 cups boiling water
- ice cubes
- lemon slices
- fresh mint leaves
- Cordial Glass
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
Instructions
1) Measure 2 tbsp Summer Preserves loose leaf tea
2) Pour 4 cups of boiling water over tea leaves and let steep for about 20 minutes
3) Refrigerate for 3 hours or until cool
4) Fill your Cordial Glass with ice cubes, lemon slices, and fresh mint leaves
5) Pour in the cold tea and add honey to taste
6) Enjoy your Summer Preserves iced tea and don't forget to use our Anne of Green Gables coasters!
2. Steamy Lovers Lane Latte
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Lovers Lane loose leaf tea
- 4 cups boiling water
- frothed milk
- Mug
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
Instructions
1) Measure 2 tbsp Lovers Lane loose leaf tea
2) Pour 4 cups of boiling water over tea leaves and let steep for 5 minutes at 212˚F or 100˚C
3) Pour tea into your mug and add honey to taste
4) Pour in warm milk and top with milk foam
5) Sip on your steamy Lovers Lane latte and be sure to protect your table with Anne of Green Gables coasters!
3. Raspberry Cordial Popsicles
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Raspberry Cordial loose leaf tea
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1/3 cup of simple syrup (1 part water to 1 part sugar)
- 2-4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 6 oz. (1 container) fresh raspberries
- popsicle molds
Instructions
1) Measure 2 tbsp Raspberry Cordial loose leaf tea
2) Pour 4 cups of boiling water over tea leaves
3) Add 1/3 cup of simple syrup and let steep in fridge for about 20 minutes
4) In the meantime, make some fresh lemon juice with a lemon squeezer
5) Add 2-4 tbsp of lemon juice to the chilled tea and stir
6) Get your popsicle molds ready by placing a few raspberries in each one
7) Pour the cold tea mixture into the molds and freeze for 4+ hours or overnight
8) Enjoy your Raspberry Cordial popsicles!
