We truly love anything that is inspired by Anne of Green Gables, so when we see something Anne-themed, we just have to share it! We came across a photo shoot from 2015 of an Anne of Green Gables inspired wedding, including a remembrance for our own Gilbert, actor Jonathan Crombie. We knew that this was something our followers had to see.
Tricia of Labyrinth Productions grew up loving the classic story of L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables. She spent over a year planning this amazing shoot by weaving many aspects of the books and miniseries together, set against the local backdrop of BayVue Estate in Mathews County.
Sadly, it was just a week before the session when unfortunately the world lost every young bookworm's heartthrob: Jonathan Crombie, the best Gilbert Blythe. So, as a last minute detail, she memorialized our iconic actor into her shoot with a beautiful vintage frame.
From Raspberry Cordial, bicycles, and letters to Anne's love of reading and Matthew's string of pearls, you'll see the beautiful nuances and homage to everyone's favourite romantically-inclined redhead.
There are even imaginative old letters that look as if Anne and Gilbert had written them to each other over the years!
